The scores are in and we are thrilled to announce that Blackmore has been selected as a finalist in the 2023 Dorset Business Awards, within the Environmental Impact category.
Dorset Chamber said "the quality of the entries received from businesses across Dorset has been impressive."
Dorset Chamber went on to say "Entries were judged against the criteria for the category by an independent panel of experts, with each one a highly respected and experienced business leader. The judges were extremely impressed by the calibre and quality of the entries that showcased the wonderful businesses operating in the county."
Blackmore is in good company as we are one of three Finalists selected for the Environmental Impact category, alongside Suttles and Charles Trent.
Andrew Robbins, Blackmore's MD said "Everything we do is underpinned by our ethos to limit any impact on the environment and our greener print comes as standard on all print projects, so it made sense for us to enter the awards. We are absolutely thrilled that we have been selected as a finalist and we look forward to attending the Awards Gala Dinner on 12th October, when the winner of each category will be announced."
In Blackmore's awards submission, we included details of our green printing credentials, such as:
how we make our customers' print projects more environmentally-friendly, through the materials we offer, inks, carbon balancing, as well as offering a free sustainable consultation
how our investments in new machinery help to lower CO2e emissions and save on energy. This includes savings of 360,000 of water per year, 60% reduction in power, using 30% less inks and more (click to read more about the green savings stats here)
and also how we manage our own environmental footprint. This includes sending zero to landfill since 2012, recycling 100% of our waste, and our commitment to achieving net-zero this decade.
